Betsy’s No Garlic Hallelujah, Happy New Year, Holiday Confetti, Homemade Chili

Ingredients:
  • 2 lbs. ground turkey (browned and drained)
  • 1 large diced onion
  • 1 green bell pepper (in strips or diced)
  • 1 yellow bell pepper (in strips or diced)
  • 1 orange bell pepper (in strips or diced)
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 4 Tbs ground cumin
  • 7 Tbs onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp ground chipotle pepper
  • 1 Tbs salt
  • 3 Tbs ground chili powder
  • 1/4 c brown sugar (or to taste)
  • 1-26 oz. can tomato puree
  • 2-16 oz. cans diced tomatoes
  • 2-16 oz. cans kidney beans (drained and rinsed)

Directions:
  1. Place all ingredients in a crock pot. Simmer and stir for several hours until done.
**About 160 – 190 calories per serving, depending on the size of the bowl.
