Ingredients:
- 1 lb. lean ground beef (or ground turkey)
- ¼ c cilantro, chopped (fresh preferred)
- 2 Tbs ground cumin
- 2 Tbs chili powder
- 1 Tbs onion powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp lime juice (optional)
- ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
Directions:
- In a medium sized sauce pan or skillet, add all ingredients and brown the beef on medium heat.
- Adjust seasonings to taste.
Delicious Additions:
- Add grilled, sliced onions and bell peppers and serve in a warm flour tortilla to make fajitas!
- Jalapeño peppers, sliced or diced
Creative considerations:
- Use sliced chicken instead of beef
- Use shrimp
- Save time by mixing and storing your own Taco Seasoning spice mix (dry seasonings) for use for a later date.
