Betsy’s No Garlic Creamy Avocado Cilantro Sauce

Ingredients:
  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 1½ c sour cream
  • 1½ c fresh cilantro leaves
  • ¼ - ½ c minced red onion (or other onion)
  • 4 tsp lemon or lime juice
  • 1 Tbs mild diced green chilis
  • ¾ tsp ground onion powder
  • ½+ tsp salt (to taste)
  • ½+ tsp chili powder (to taste)
  • ¼ tsp ground cumin
  • ground pepper (to taste, about 1/16 tsp)
Directions:
  1. Blend together in a food processor until creamy and smooth.
I served this sauce over sautéed salmon and we couldn’t stop making yummy sounds!

Creative Considerations:
  • For a delicious fiesta salad dressing, thin the sauce with milk until it's your desired texture.
