Ingredients:
- 3 cups peaches, diced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2-3+ tablespoons coconut sugar (to taste, depending on the sweetness of the peaches)
- 1 pinch cinnamon
- 1 pinch salt
- ¼+ teaspoon vanilla (to taste, depending on the sweetness of the peaches)
- ⅛ teaspoon brandy extract
Our home-grown peaches were so sweet and flavorful, that it was practically a sacrilege to add sugar to them at all, but the organic coconut sugar gave them a slight caramel flavor.
- Add all ingredients to a skillet and gently stir until the mixture is blended.
- Stir frequently on medium heat until the mixture reduces and becomes slightly syrupy.
- Taste and adjust ingredients to taste. Remember, the primary flavor should be peach (which is delicate and can easily be masked by stronger flavors), so adjust flavors cautiously.
