Ingredients:
- ¼ c olive oil
- ¼ c Cabernet Sauvignon
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp liquid smoke
- ½ tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp chili powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ⅛ tsp ground mustard
- ⅛ tsp ground cumin
- ⅛ tsp cayenne pepper
- ⅛ tsp black pepper
Directions:
- Whisk ingredients together, then pour over about 2 lbs. of well-marbled beef in a sealable container. Refrigerate and allow to marinate for an hour.
- Note: the steaks taste even better if allowed to marinate overnight! We even buy steak in bulk, then freeze portions in marinade so they’re perfectly seasoned when we’re ready to grill them.

I use the El Guapo brand California Molido chili powder. It does not contain garlic.
